DC paint/one – curated by gianluca d’incà levis

Dolomiti Contemporanee is a network project. It is a general concept which has as a central theme an
incremental, autonomous and direct approach. It is a wide, open network at every level. The space is
born and populated. The players arrive and gather freely in a choir (choral actors).
The artists who have been invited to exihibit in the mobile space at DC for reasons of this crystalline
network, converge in DC1 (paint) and DC2, the two group exhibitions at Sass Muss, from August to
September 2011.
The Sass Muss complex consists of different buildings, each one characterised by its own special
features. Pavione is the only building with ample wall space, the only one which allows for the
presentation of a certain number of pictorial works. 12 artists exhibit their canvases, papers,
drawings. Amidst the vast white space, bright light, and the remains of dust conserved on the old
windows. Aliens live in the dark room amongst the stones.
